Timeline Establishments was founded in 2020 by two editors and a regional architect who'd watched East African lifestyle media collapse into aspirational scrolling and influencer-led content. We built a calmer alternative: editorial work by people actually living regional lives, design references from practitioners, and a deliberately small contributor network that values depth over coverage.
How we publish
Every editorial piece is written or commissioned by editors and contributors actually living the lives they're writing about. Our regional architect contributors run working practices. Our food contributors cook the food they write about. Our outdoor contributors practice the activities they cover.
How we earn trust
No sponsored content. No paid placements. No affiliate stacks. Member subscriptions and bundle purchases fund the entire editorial operation, which means our coverage stays accountable to readers rather than advertisers.
